Properties
A Property is one store, site, or business location in your Siren Cloud organization. Add one, connect it, and choose which programs and currencies apply to it.

A Property is a site or business location you sell or track from: an online store, a website with Stripe Payment Links, a Shopify shop. It has a name and an address, and you connect it to a WordPress site, a Shopify shop, or a Stripe account, in any combination. A Property connected to Stripe or Shopify also gets a tracking line for its pages. Everything a Property’s connections send, its visits and its sales, belongs to that Property.
“Property” is Siren Cloud’s word for one store, site, or business location, so these docs and Settings > Properties say “Property” where you might say “store”. A few places say “store” and mean a Property: the “Store” filter on Customers, the “Stores” column on Coupon codes, and the store.connected and store.disconnected webhooks. Those two fire when a Property’s connection to a source such as Stripe or Shopify starts or stops, and their propertyId field names the Property.
You don’t have to plan Properties far ahead. When you connect Stripe or Shopify from Settings > Integrations and have several Properties, Siren Cloud asks which one it’s for, and with none it asks you to add one. A WordPress site that connects finds the Property with its address, or creates one.
Properties are in the account menu under Settings > Properties.
Add a Property
Only Admins add and edit Properties, so a Platform Manager needs an Admin to add the first one. Click “Add property”, enter a “Name”, add a “Site URL” if you’ll connect a WordPress site or want referral links built from it, and click “Add property”. You land on the new Property’s page, or on the setup of the source you were connecting.
There’s no limit on how many Properties you have, and no plan restricts them. Each one holds at most one Stripe account and one Shopify shop, so a second Stripe account or a second shop needs its own Property.
The Site URL matters in two places. A WordPress site joins the Property whose Site URL is exactly its own address, so if you’ll connect one, enter its address with the same scheme, host, and port, and no path or trailing slash. Once a WordPress site is connected, leave that Site URL as it is, because changing it makes the site start a new Property. The collaborator portal also builds referral links from a Property’s Site URL, preferring active Properties.
Edit a Property
Click “Edit Property” on its page to change its “Name”, “Site URL”, or “Status”. The button appears once your organization has an active plan. Status is “Active” or “Inactive”, and it doesn’t disconnect anything: an Inactive Property keeps its integrations and keeps recording. When the collaborator portal picks a Site URL for referral links, it prefers active Properties.
You can’t delete a Property. To retire one, mark it Inactive and remove its Stripe and Shopify connections. A WordPress site comes off with “Disconnect” on its card, which stops that site’s tracking, as Connect a WordPress Site explains.
A Property’s page
Click a Property in the list to open its page. Each part is a card, and some cards appear only when they apply.
- “Integrations” lists the WordPress site, Shopify shop, and Stripe account the Property is connected to. A Stripe or Shopify connection shows “Connected” once it has its signing secret, and “Waiting”, with “Waiting for its signing secret” under it, until the setup is finished. Admins add a connection with “Add integration” and remove Stripe or Shopify with the X button. Removing one stops its webhook address working, and orders already recorded stay.
- “Tracking” holds the Property’s tracking line, once Stripe or Shopify is set up here.
- “WordPress site” appears when a WordPress site is connected. See Connect a WordPress Site and Move a WordPress Site to Siren Cloud.
- “Programs” lists the programs that run here, as described below.
- “Coupon codes” appears when one of the Property’s connections provides coupons, or once the Property has codes. It shows the first few codes and who they credit, with “View All” for the rest. See Manage Coupon Codes.
- “Products” appears for Admins on plans that include product ownership. It lists the first five products the Property sells and their owners, with “View all” for the rest. See Manage Products on Siren Cloud.
- “Currencies” appears on Essentials and up.
- “Access” and “Members and API keys” appear for Admins, and show who and what is limited to this Property.
An organization without an active plan sees the Integrations, Tracking, and WordPress site cards, and the WordPress site’s “Disconnect” and “Allow migration again” wait for a plan.
The “Activity” button shows what changed on the Property: connections added and removed, programs and currencies added, members given access, product owners changed, and so on.
Choose which programs run on a Property
Every program runs on every Property unless you choose otherwise, including Properties you add later. A visit, sale, or other activity on a Property a program doesn’t run on doesn’t count toward that program.
To limit a program, open it and use the “Where does it run?” card: choose “Runs on the properties you choose” and add the Properties. Once a program runs on chosen Properties, you can also manage it from each Property’s “Programs” card, where “Add programs” brings it to this Property and the remove button takes it off. While every program runs everywhere, that card only lists them.
A program always runs somewhere. If you take a program off the last Property it runs on, it runs on every Property again, so Siren Cloud asks first. To stop a program instead, change its status on its own page.
Currencies on a Property
On Essentials and up, each custom currency, such as store credit, is bound to the Properties where it can be spent. Collaborators can hold, redeem, and spend store credit in that currency only on those Properties. The Property’s “Currencies” card lists the currencies that spend there, with “Add currencies” to bind more and a button to unbind one. A currency always keeps at least one Property, so bind it somewhere else before you unbind its last one.
The currency your store charges in isn’t a Property setting. Sales arrive in the currency Stripe or Shopify charged, and Siren Cloud doesn’t convert them. When an order has a line in a currency a percentage program doesn’t pay in, the program’s whole reward is worked out at face value and held for review, as Sales in another currency describes, and a distributor leaves out lines in a currency it doesn’t pay in, with a note on the transaction. A program or distributor that pays in a custom currency earns on lines in your organization’s currency.
Limit members to Properties
A Platform Manager can be limited to the Properties they look after, so they see only those Properties’ records and integrations. Set it from the Members screen, or from the “Members and API keys” card on a Property. Add Team Members explains how. API keys can be bound to a Property too, so what they send counts for that Property.
