Sign Up Collaborators With Gravity Forms or Ninja Forms
Turn a Gravity Forms or Ninja Forms form into a collaborator sign-up that adds people to your programs, distributors, and collaborator groups.
WordPress plugin and Siren Cloud
Last updated: October 26, 2026
If you already build forms with Gravity Forms or Ninja Forms, a Siren feed or action can turn one into a collaborator sign-up. It works like the registration block: each sign-up becomes a collaborator in the programs you choose. Every edition includes it. Choosing distributors needs Siren Essentials or higher, and choosing collaborator groups needs Plus or Pro.
This is separate from the form’s “Assign to Collaborator” setting, which credits a collaborator for each submission through the Form submitted trigger.
Gravity Forms
Open the form, go to Settings, then the “Siren” tab, and add a feed. Under “Collaborator Registration Settings”:
- Feed Name identifies the feed.
- Programs picks the programs new collaborators join. Choose at least one.
- Distributors and Collaborator Groups show when you have any, on the plans that include them.
- Status for New Signups is “Pending (Requires Approval)” or “Active (Automatically Approved)”.
- Approve Existing Collaborators has no effect on a WordPress site that isn’t connected to Siren Cloud, because existing collaborators always join right away (see below).
Under “Field Mapping”, choose the form fields for “Email”, “Full Name”, and “Nickname”. All three are required. Feed conditions let you run the feed only for some entries.
Ninja Forms
Open the form, go to Emails & Actions, and add the “Siren Collaborator Signup” action:
- Program picks one program. It’s optional, so a sign-up with no program set joins none.
- Distributor and Collaborator group pick one each, on the plans that include them.
- Status for new signups is “Pending” or “Active”.
- Auto-approve existing collaborators for this program has no effect on a WordPress site that isn’t connected to Siren Cloud.
- Email field, Full name field, and Nickname field take the form’s field merge tags, such as
{field:email}. The email is required.
What a sign-up does
A new email address becomes a collaborator right away, with the status you chose, in the programs, distributors, and groups you chose. Unlike the registration block, there’s no confirmation email, and Siren sends no email on the sign-up itself.
- Pending sign-ups: nobody is emailed about them, so check Siren > Collaborators for new Pending collaborators. When you approve one, they get the approved email, as Sign-Up and Approval Emails describes.
- Active sign-ups: they’re never approved, so they get no approved email or account link. Use “Send Signup Email” on Siren > Collaborators if they need a WordPress account to reach their portal. It needs Settings > General > “Anyone can register” turned on.
- Existing collaborators: an email that’s already a collaborator joins the chosen programs, distributors, and groups right away and keeps their status.
If something goes wrong, such as a missing email, the visitor still sees the form’s usual confirmation, and Siren skips the sign-up. Gravity Forms records why in its add-on log when logging is on.
Siren merge tags in the form’s emails
The form’s own notifications can use Siren merge tags for the new collaborator: {siren_collaborator_id}, {siren_collaborator_email}, {siren_collaborator_tracking_code}, {siren_program_names}, and {siren_program_ids}.
