Siren

The Solid Affiliate Alternative That Goes Beyond WooCommerce

Solid Affiliate does WooCommerce affiliate tracking well. Siren does that too, and adds multi-program setups, performance bonuses, and commissions on events beyond sales. One plugin, any supported commerce platform.

Two Different Approaches

Solid Affiliate gives you a polished WooCommerce affiliate plugin. Siren's a toolkit for building the incentive structure your business actually needs, on whatever commerce platform you actually use.

Solid Affiliate
Siren

WooCommerce only. If you run EDD, LifterLMS, or Gravity Forms, you need a different tool.

WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, LifterLMS, Gravity Forms, and NorthCommerce. One plugin for all of them.

Affiliate groups control rates. Different groups get different percentages, but they're all running the same type of program.

Each program defines its own type, rate, and rules. A standard affiliate program can run alongside a vendor revenue share and a course creator royalty.

Per-product and per-category rates through a priority hierarchy. The most-specific rate wins, but figuring out which one actually applies means checking multiple places.

Line item filters on each program. Category, SKU, product type, and ownership combine with AND logic. One program, one set of rules, all readable in one place.

No performance bonuses, no tiered rates that adjust automatically, no way to distribute aggregate rewards.

Distributors track performance over time and pay bonuses on a schedule. Top-performer pools, quarterly targets, tiered rewards, they all run automatically.

Five Platforms, Not Just WooCommerce

Solid Affiliate is built for WooCommerce and does it well. But if you sell digital products through Easy Digital Downloads, run courses on LifterLMS, or capture leads through Gravity Forms, Solid Affiliate can't help. Siren treats all of these as first-class event sources. A LifterLMS course completion triggers a royalty payment. A Gravity Forms submission awards a lead commission. A WooCommerce renewal fires a separate recurring commission program.

Siren also handles what Solid Affiliate's single-program architecture can't. An affiliate earns a referral commission while a course creator earns a royalty from the same transaction. They're all "collaborators" in Siren, whether they're affiliates, instructors, or vendors, and a single sale can trigger commissions across multiple programs at once.

Rates Without an 8-Level Hierarchy

Solid Affiliate uses an 8-tier rate priority system: recurring rate, affiliate-product pairing, per-affiliate rate, group rate, lifetime rate, product variation rate, product rate, category rate, and then the default. The most specific one wins, and figuring out which rate applies to a given sale means tracing through all eight levels. Siren puts each distinct rate on its own program with line item filters targeting the relevant products or categories. Three rate tiers means three programs, each readable in one place.

Solid Affiliate also calculates commissions on the post-discount amount with toggles for shipping and tax. Siren breaks the transaction into independent calculation components: line items, discounts, fees, shipping, and taxes. Want commissions calculated before coupons? Turn off the discount component. Want to include signup fees? Turn on the fee component. You control the math at the component level.

Events Solid Affiliate Can't Track

Solid Affiliate triggers commissions on WooCommerce sales. Siren covers WooCommerce too, plus these five event types that Solid Affiliate doesn't support.

Subscription Renewals

Initial purchases and recurring payments carry different commission rules, managed as separate programs. Solid Affiliate Pro has renewal tracking, but Siren includes it at Essentials.

Course Completions

An instructor gets paid when a student finishes their LifterLMS course, not just when they enroll. Solid Affiliate doesn't integrate with any LMS.

Lesson Completions

Content creators earn per lesson, so you can reward granular contributions instead of only full-course sales.

Form Submissions

A Gravity Forms submission triggers a lead commission automatically, no custom code required.

Scheduled Performance Bonuses

Distributors track performance over time and pay out on a schedule. Solid Affiliate has no equivalent. Want to reward your top 3 affiliates each quarter with a $500 bonus pool split by performance? That's one distributor configuration.

Common Questions

Do I need to be switching from Solid Affiliate to use Siren?

Not at all. This page compares features, but Siren stands on its own. Start with Siren Lite for free, set up your first program, and see how it feels. No prior affiliate plugin experience needed.

Solid Affiliate has a cleaner UI. Why would I switch?

Solid Affiliate's interface is genuinely well-designed. If your needs are straightforward WooCommerce affiliate tracking, it's a great tool. The reason to switch isn't the UI, it's what you can build. Multiple programs, commissions on non-sale events, performance bonuses, support for platforms beyond WooCommerce. Those aren't things a better UI can solve. They require different architecture, and Siren's program-based approach handles them natively.

Can I migrate my existing affiliates and referral history?

You can. Affiliate accounts become collaborator records linked to the same WordPress users. Tracking codes carry over as aliases, so existing referral links keep working. Referrals migrate as conversion and commission records, and coupon codes become aliases. There's no automated importer, so it's a manual process. For most sites with under 50 affiliates, expect 1-2 hours. The heaviest lift is designing your program structure, and Beacon can help with that.

I only run WooCommerce. Why do I need multi-platform support?

If you're confident you'll only ever need WooCommerce, that's a fair point. But a lot of stores add a course platform, a membership plugin, or a lead capture form as they grow. When that happens with Solid Affiliate, you need a second tool for those event types. With Siren, your existing programs keep working and you just add a new event source. No second plugin, no data silos.

What about landing pages? Solid Affiliate has those and Siren doesn't.

That's correct. Solid Affiliate offers personalized per-affiliate landing pages that track attribution without referral links, and Siren doesn't have anything like that today. Attribution in Siren happens through referral links and coupon codes. If landing pages are central to how your affiliates drive traffic, that's a real gap.

How does Siren's pricing compare to Solid Affiliate's?

Solid Affiliate runs Starter ($149/yr), Expert ($174/yr), and Pro ($224/yr). Lifetime commissions, landing pages, revenue sharing, and subscription renewal tracking all require Pro. On the Siren side, Lite is free and covers the basics. Essentials and above include multi-program support, line item filters, recurring commissions, distributors, and the collaborator portal. No add-on stacking on either side. Renewal pricing stays the same year over year on both products.

What about lifetime commissions and store credit? Those are gaps.

They are. Lifetime commissions are on Siren's roadmap but aren't available yet, and store credit payouts aren't supported. If your program relies on either of those, Solid Affiliate covers them today and Siren doesn't. The trade-off is everything else: multi-program architecture, distributors, non-WooCommerce integrations, composable commission logic. It depends which set of capabilities matters more for your business.

What if I try Siren and it's not the right fit?

Siren Lite is free, so you can test the core experience without committing. If you try Essentials and decide to go back, your data is on your own server. Nothing is locked into a platform you can't leave.
