Affiliate Program Terms

We review and moderate all affiliate registrations, and we appreciate your accurate and honest information. Please note that the review process may take a few days – we know you are eager to join our team of affiliates, and we appreciate your patience!

If you’re approved, awesome! You’ll be given a unique referral ID that you can use to promote Siren via referral links. Check out your private dashboard for visits and referrals information, creatives, graphs and more!

Commissions and payouts

You’ll earn up to a 30% commission when a customer purchases a new Siren license subscription using your referral link.

We pay out affiliate commissions in USD directly to your bank account or debit card on the 10th of every month. If the 10th falls on a weekend or US holiday, we will payout on the last business day before the holiday begins (usually the day before). We only pay commissions that are older than 30 days. There’s no minimum, or maximum payout balance.

In order to receive a payout for your referrals, you must have an active, valid Stripe account. You do not need this when joining the program, but we cannot pay you until it is set up.

We do not allow referrals to be generated on your own purchases. We do not offer recurring referrals.

Here are the details of our program in summary:

  • You’ll receive between 10%-30% commission for sales referred by you. (See Commission Structure below)
  • Transactions older than 30 days will be paid within the first week of each month
  • Referrals are paid out to your Stripe account
  • Referrals cannot be generated on your own purchases (this includes using a different email address).

Commission Structure

Siren’s affiliate program uses a split-commission structure when determining how much to pay affiliates. The goal of this structure is to reward people who introduced someone to Siren as well as the people who sold Siren to our customers. To do this, Siren has two separate commission structures.

  1. 10% commission to the first affiliate who referred a customer that purchases our product within 60 days of using their affiliate link.
  2. 20% commission to the last affiliate who referred a customer that purchases our product within 7 days of using their affiliate link.

This creates 4 different payout scenarios for a transaction:

  • You refer someone to Siren, a few weeks pass, and someone else refers that same visitor, and the visitor promptly purchases Siren. In this case, you’d get 10% for being the first person to refer the customer, within 60 days. The other affiliate would get the 20% for actually converting the sale.
  • You refer someone to Siren, and they promptly purchase the plugin, but someone else had introduced this same visitor to Siren last month. In this case, you’d get 20% for being the person to actually convert the sale, and the other affiliate would get the 10% for introducing the visitor to Siren in the first place.
  • You refer someone to Siren, and they promptly purchase the plugin. Nobody else in the last 60 days has referred this visitor. IN this case, you earn both the 10% and 20% commission, totaling to 30%.
  • Nobody refers anyone, the customer buys Siren, and Siren gets all the money 😝.

Refunded purchases

Referrals older than 30 days and in good standing (i.e. the purchase has not been refunded) will be included with each commission payout. If a purchase is refunded, a commission won’t be paid out for that referral.

We reserve the right to reject affiliate commissions for any reason. Commission rejections may occur for the following reasons:

  1. The sale that the referral was based on was refunded
  2. The method by which the referral was generated was in violation of our promotional policies (see below) or violated the spirit of the Affiliate Agreement.

Affiliate news and updates

By becoming an affiliate you agree to receive emails from Siren. These emails will be sent to affiliates only, and may include important information regarding the Siren affiliate program. These emails will also provide you with relevant news and updates to help you effectively promote Siren. As an affiliate you may be privy to embargoed or time-sensitive information in these emails (this information may only be promoted after an embargo is lifted). And we won’t spam you.

Affiliate application rejection

We reserve the right to reject affiliate applications for any reason. We also reserve the right to choose whether we provide an explanation or reasoning for affiliate application rejection. Below are just a few reasons why an application may be rejected (this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Affiliate applications for websites that sell, advertise or engage in pornography, phishing scams, spamming, illegal business practices, or that include any material infringing on National or International Copyright will be rejected.
  • Affiliate applications for websites that we do not believe are aligned with our industry or business may be rejected.
  • If you apply to become an affiliate and you have not purchased a license, your application may be rejected.
  • If you apply to become an affiliate and it has been less than 30 days since you purchased license, your application may be rejected.
  • Affiliate applicants with websites that re-sell any of our products will be rejected.
  • Websites considered inappropriate by Siren will be rejected.

Inappropriate websites:

The following types of sites are not permitted to become an affiliate: adult sites, sites that display adult material or banners, sites that promote violence, hatred or bigotry, sites that promote or engage in illegal activity, including (but not limited to), hacking, cracking, nulled, and warez sites. Affiliate applications for inappropriate websites will be rejected, and we reserve the right to choose whether or not to provide a rejection reason.

Dormant affiliate accounts

We encourage all of our affiliates to actively promote Siren to keep earning referrals. If we can help you come up with ideas on how to promote Siren, let us know. We often do 1:1 chats and even help build launch programs with our affiliates. If you have an audience, we’d be happy to help promote.

That being said, an affiliate account is considered dormant if no engagements have been generated after a 6-month period. When this happens, we will reach out to see if we can help you, but if we don’t hear back, we will deactivate the account.

We are committed to helping you succeed in being an active member of our affiliate community, and we expect the same commitment in-return.

Guidelines

As a business person, you know that your reputation is one of your most important assets. We feel the same way. By applying to become an affiliate you are agreeing to abide by the following guidelines, which will not only protect our reputation and standing in the community, but yours as well.

Allowed promotional methods

We encourage the use of promotional methods that add value to Siren and bring us legitimate, loyal customers. We love it when our team of affiliates write about affiliate marketing, talk about sales programs and incentive programs, and business growth in-general, and mention Siren in the process.

Here are a few examples of awesome promotional methods to earn more commission:

  • Tell clients, customers or friends about Siren, and give them your affiliate referral link
  • Write a review or a blog post about affiliate marketing or Siren and link to our site with your referral link
  • Reach out to a broad audience with your social network accounts. Tweet about us on Twitter with your affiliate referral link, post about us on Facebook with your affiliate link, or communicate to your Linkedin followers about affiliate marketing with your affiliate link. Spam-free promotion is a great way to get more referrals!
  • Provide value to others by answering related questions on other sites with helpful responses, and using your referral link in your replies.

Prohibited promotional methods

The prohibited promotional methods listed below aren’t meant to scare you off – they’re here to protect you, and us, and our customers from any freaky or fraudulent activity, which is something we take pretty seriously.

  • Siren may not be promoted on coupon sites
Customers who are searching for a coupon are already in the market for Siren, so this method adds no value to us.
  • Paid advertising using your affiliate link is prohibited
Buying ads through services like Google AdWords, social ads, or retargeting ads using our brand keywords and your affiliate link will result in affiliate account deactivation.
  • Promoting incorrect or misleading information
Any promotional activity that shares incorrect or misleading information will result in affiliate account deactivation. This includes false information intended to click-bait potential customers. If you are unsure of the correct information or details for promoting Siren, please contact us.
  • Any type of spam is prohibited
Links, ads, emails, comments… any type of spam. Please respect the posting rules of any 3rd-party websites you use to promote us. This is not an exhaustive list of spam methods; if we decide that your activity is spam, it’s spam.
  • Any illegal activity or activity deemed offensive by us is prohibited
This may result in referrals being rejected and/or your affiliate account being deactivated.
  • Do not pretend to be professionally associated with Siren
Affiliates aren’t employees of Siren or Novatorius and have no employee rights.
  • Pretending to actually be Siren, or Novatorius is prohibited
I know our website is super cool and all, but really, cloning our site, copying our site, using our copyrighted site assets, and pretending that a site created by you is unethical and prohibited (this includes using services that automatically clone websites, or place them into iframes).
  • No Spamming. Surely we don’t need to say anything more about this, do we?
  • Publishers may not bid on or use; Novatorius, or Siren’s trademark, trademark +, or misspelled keywords for the purpose of PPC on Internet search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask etc.).
  • Publishers may not use redirected pages and links to send a user to our site. For example, you may not have a PPC link on a search engine that redirects the user to our site.
  • Publishers may not purchase a domain and set it to forward directly to our site using your affiliate link.
  • Publishers may not use; Novatorius, or Siren’s trademark, trademark +, or misspelled keywords in their domain names.
  • Direct linking (Use of Display URL) publishers are not allowed to link directly to our Web site from their search marketing campaigns.
  • Publishers may only use coupons and promotional codes that are provided exclusively through the affiliate program.
  • We verify all sales prior to approval: A sale is not complete until after we have verified that it was a valid sale without reversal or a hold by Stripe, or the credit card issuer. We reserve the right to delay payment until this has been confirmed. Sales at the end of the month may be delayed until the next month for this reason.
  • Purchases will not be retroactively assigned or reassigned to affiliates once the purchase is completed. Please do not ask for us to make an exception for you. Instead, view some of the tips on how to ensure your contacts are using your affiliate links and coupon codes.
  • We do not allow internal sales: An account must be ordered with billing information that does not match the affiliate’s information.

If you’re unsure or concerned that some activity you’re about to proceed with may be considered prohibited, reach out. If it is, we can offer alternative methods instead.

If your promotional methods step outside of these terms, your referrals may be rejected and we may disable your affiliate account. We reserve the right to do this and may or may not notify you in the instance that this occurs. Please use allowed promotional methods, and help us to help you succeed as an affiliate!
